In February-March 2017, I shall cycle the Grand Trunk Road, starting in Amritsar and finishing in Kolkota. Over the course of the 2,500km, I will come across a richness and diversity of culture and history that in my humble view is not matched anywhere on this earth. Birthplace of some of the world’s major religions, site of some of the world’s biggest empires, home to some of the most fascinating communities, and stage for some of the twenty-first century’s most pressing challenges and developments, the Grand Trunk Road is so much more than a road.

Along the way, I hope to raise awareness of a little-known charity that does fantastic work with some of India’s poorest children. Save A Child has a number of residential homes in Delhi and West Bengal, which I shall visit along the way. Through these homes, Save A Child has been able to help children, some orphaned and many with disabilities like blindness, gain that second chance to an education. I’m raising money and awareness, so if you’d like to contribute, please check out my Tilt or my Just Giving pages.

Thanks for taking the time to read!
